On Lebanon and handwringing.

There has been a lot of handwringing over the fighting in Lebanon. Over at Strategypage, I explain why the handwringing and second-guessing from bloggers like Kosher Hedgehog and Powerline, among others, is way off base.

A brief excerpt from my piece there:

Hizbollah, Syria, and Iran have been hurt, too. The damage to them is not as apparent due to much tighter controls on the media in their countries than there are in the west, but damage has occurred.

Good point. It's like the Space Race: we saw only our own failures, and not the Russian ones, such as the one that incinerated their Strategic Rocket Forces commander...
